Daily News: The Glass House Record Store to shut down after almost two decades of operation

The Glass House Record Store in Pomona, known for its rare and used vinyl records, is set to close its doors after nearly two decades in business. The store, which opened in 2006, specialized in LPs spanning various genres and also hosted meet-and-greets with artists. The success of the store was credited to Alex Rodriguez, who took over the store and made it successful by focusing on vinyl. Rodriguez, a DJ who operates his own record store in LA, also runs a traveling version that functions as Coachella’s on-site record store.

The news of the closure has left many patrons saddened, with some sharing memories of digging through bins and finding great albums at the store. While some expressed their despair, others chose to cope with humor. The store’s Instagram page was flooded with messages from loyal customers expressing their gratitude for the music they found at Glass House Records.

As the store prepares to shut down on Sept. 30th, patrons reminisce about the good times and memories they have shared at the venue. Despite the closure, the impact of Glass House Records on the local music scene and the community will be remembered fondly by many.
