Three young men, Dion Elijah Hill, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, and Isaiah Jaron Rankins, pleaded not guilty in connection with a home-invasion robbery in Sherman Oaks. The incident occurred on Monday night, where luxury handbags and jewelry were stolen from a residence. The suspects were tracked by police to Compton, where they were apprehended after fleeing on foot. Law enforcement executed search warrants at multiple locations and recovered stolen property. Hill is charged with home-invasion robbery and burglary, while Gonzalez and Rankins face similar charges. Hill and Gonzalez were out on bail for previous crimes at the time of the incident. District Attorney George Gascón expressed concern over a recent increase in residential burglaries and emphasized the importance of holding perpetrators accountable. He announced a hotline for reporting tips on such crimes to aid in investigations. Hill faces a maximum of 25 years and four months in prison, Gonzalez faces up to 12 years and four months, and Rankins could be sentenced to 20 years and eight months. The suspects are being held on bails ranging from $225,000 to $2 million.
