Los Angeles Dodgers, the historic baseball team, has been making headlines for a lengthy list of scandals and controversies. The most recent involves allegations of illegal gambling and theft against Shohei Ohtani’s interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, who was released from the team following confirmation from the IRS about a criminal investigation. This scandal is just one in a long line of controversies surrounding the Dodgers.
In the past, Dodgers manager Leo Durocher was suspended for gambling activities in 1947. Owner Frank McCourt and his wife were accused of bankrupting the team by using it to fund a lavish lifestyle.
