Local artist Lili Todd, an Altadena resident with a degree in illustration from ArtCenter College of Design, showcases her work on Instagram and her website. As part of the L.A. Affairs series, The Los Angeles Times is seeking true stories of romantic love in the L.A. area. They pay $400 for published essays between 950 to 1,000 words, occasionally collaborating with artists and cartoonists for illustrated stories. Submissions can be sent to LAAffairs@latimes.com, and past columns can be found online. Recent articles include reflections on forbidden love, deep connections, and young relationships. The series provides a platform for individuals to share their experiences and insights on love and relationships in the diverse and vibrant city of Los Angeles. Todd’s artistic perspective and unique storytelling style are a welcome addition to the ongoing dialogue on love and human connection in L.A.
