Anthony Davis shined with 40 points and 16 rebounds, despite playing through a left shoulder injury. However, he left the game in the third quarter but returned to help seal the win in the final minutes.
The Lakers, now 14-12, capitalized on Davis’ dominant performance to overcome the Grizzlies, who had won 10 of their last 11 games. LeBron James also played a key role with 18 points, eight assists, and eight rebounds. The Lakers’ defense limited Ja Morant to 20 points as Max Christie played a crucial role in containing the Grizzlies’ star player. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 25 points but fouled out late in the game. Austin Reaves added 19 points and eight assists for the Lakers in the victory.
