49ers, led by Brock Purdy, outlast Seahawks to reclaim top spot in NFC West

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS DEFEAT SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 36-24 TO MOVE INTO TIE FOR FIRST PLACE IN NFC WEST

In a thrilling showdown on Thursday night, the San Francisco 49ers emerged victorious with a 36-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Quarterback Brock Purdy shined with 255 passing yards and three touchdowns, while wide receiver Deebo Samuel contributed with a 76-yard catch-and-run touchdown. The defending NFC champions moved into a tie for first place in the NFC West alongside the Seahawks after an up-and-down start to the season.

The Niners dominated the game with contributions from George Kittle, who had two touchdown receptions, and Kyle Juszczyk, who added a late touchdown run. Matthew Wright, filling in for injured kicker Jake Moody, made three first-half field goals to secure the win.

Despite a valiant effort from Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith, who passed for 312 yards and a touchdown, Seattle couldn’t overcome their third straight loss after a 3-0 start under new head coach Mike Macdonald. The Seahawks struggled with their running game, finishing with only 52 yards on the ground.

San Francisco’s victory was part of their ongoing dominance over Seattle with a sixth consecutive win. Both teams will look to regroup as the 49ers host Kansas City on October 20 in a Super Bowl rematch, while the Seahawks travel to Atlanta on the same day.
