Superintendent Carvalho emphasized the importance of providing resources to those affected by homelessness, stating that the district has invested $1.7 million to ensure that children have access to basic needs. The Clothing Boutiques are part of the iAttend Outreach Day initiative, which aims to make sure that homeless students have the necessary resources to attend school regularly. The boutiques also feature mirrors for students to check out their new clothes. Overall, this initiative is a step towards supporting students and families in need within the LAUSD community.
