Los Angeles Football Club has made a significant move ahead of the 2025 Major League Soccer season by acquiring Turkish forward Cengiz Ünder on loan from Süper Lig club Fenerbahçe. Ünder joins Denis Bouanga and Olivier Giroud as the club’s Designated Players, forming a trio of attacking talent not seen since 2021.
Ünder, who was named Turkish Footballer of the Year in 2018, brings a wealth of experience to LAFC with 66 goals and 46 assists in his professional career. The 27-year-old is excited to represent the multicultural fan base of the club and hopes to unite fans through the power of sports.
