Inability to Stop Oak Park Propels San Juan Hills Girls Basketball to Defeat in 2AA Quarterfinals

The San Juan Hills girls basketball team suffered a 65-49 loss to Oak Park in the CIF-SS Division 2AA quarterfinals. Despite executing various defensive strategies, San Juan Hills was unable to contain Oak Park’s sharp shooting, especially from 3-point range. While the Stallions managed to shoot well themselves, with Adelyn Boberg scoring five 3-pointers, Oak Park continued to extend their lead with timely runs. Despite the loss, senior Anna Shreeve showcased her skills with a half-court shot at the buzzer. Coach Jay Williams commended Shreeve for her leadership and contributions to the team throughout the season. San Juan Hills, the second-place team from the South Coast League, had a successful playoff run before falling to Oak Park. Oak Park, on the other hand, extended their winning streak to 13 games and will face Portola in the semifinals. The team’s exceptional performances have earned them an average margin of victory of 31 points in their previous playoff games.
