LeBron James of the Lakers may not play against Hornets as Luka Doncic’s playing limits are relaxed – Daily News

Lakers star LeBron James is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to left foot/ankle soreness. Coach JJ Redick hopes James will be able to play but acknowledged his health is a priority as the team pushes for the playoffs. The game against the Hornets is a makeup for a previously postponed game. James has been dealing with a left foot ailment since December but participated in most of Tuesday’s practice. Additionally, recently acquired star Luka Doncic will have his minutes restriction eased following the All-Star break. Doncic played limited minutes in his first two games with the Lakers but is expected to see an increase in playing time. Despite winning 12 of their last 15 games, the Lakers face a challenging schedule in March, including matchups against the Knicks, Celtics, Bucks, and Nuggets. The team will need to manage injuries and maintain their performance to stay competitive in the tightly contested Western Conference.
