Disneyland’s highly anticipated new attraction, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” featuring a robotic version of Walt Disney, has been delayed from its original May 16 debut to July 17. The delay was due to ongoing work by Walt Disney Imagineering on the Audio-Animatronic figure of the park’s visionary founder. The new show, set to open on Disneyland’s 70th anniversary, promises an immersive experience where visitors can sit in Walt’s office and hear him talk about his career and dreams. The attraction will be housed in the Main Street Opera House alongside new exhibits on the park’s evolution and animatronics history. The delay will allow for a bigger impact and higher quality experience for guests. The show will initially run solo and later rotate with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln,” which is currently closed for refurbishment. The 70th-anniversary celebration at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure is set to continue through summer 2026.
