Two individuals were arrested for allegedly attempting to enter a fire evacuation zone in a phony fire truck while impersonating firefighters. The Los Angeles Police Department and fire officials noticed the suspicious vehicle, which was reported to authorities. The two individuals, claiming to be from the non-existent “Roaring River Fire Department” in Oregon, were wearing firefighter gear and Cal Fire T-shirts underneath. They were arrested for impersonating firefighters and entering the evacuation zone. This incident follows on the heels of three total arrests for impersonating firefighters, as well as two for impersonating journalists. Sheriff Robert Luna emphasized the importance of only allowing authorized personnel in these areas, stating that such behavior is unacceptable. The truck used in the attempted entry was impounded. Authorities are taking swift action to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing fire evacuation zones and posing as emergency responders.
