26-year-old rising golf star Daniel Hillier’s journey from playing with a toy club as a toddler to winning his first DP World Tour title at the Betfred British Masters in 2023 has been nothing short of impressive. He turned pro in 2019 after a successful amateur career that included wins at the New Zealand Junior U19 Championships and the Australian Junior Championship. Hillier’s big break came in 2021 when he won the Challenge Costa Brava, earning him a full card for the Challenge Tour.
In 2022, Hillier made his DP World Tour debut and continued his winning streak with another victory at the Swiss Challenge. This success led to an upgraded status on the DP World Tour for 2023, culminating in his first DP World Tour title. Off the course, Hillier’s partner Siobhan Cecily has been a constant support system, with the couple recently getting engaged in January 2024.
Siobhan, who graduated in 2020, is not only Hillier’s fiancée but also his caddy during tournaments. Despite not being a golfer, she is an integral part of Hillier’s journey, whether they are on holiday or shopping together. Hillier enjoys paragliding and playing the guitar in his spare time, showcasing his adventurous spirit off the golf course.
Hillier’s dedication to the sport and his personal milestones with Siobhan highlight a bright future for the young golfer, who has proven that hard work and passion can lead to success both on and off the course.
