Annette Rossilli, 85, tragically perishes in Palisades fire while refusing to leave her pets behind – Daily News

Annette Rossilli, an 85-year-old resident of Pacific Palisades known for her love of orchids, pets, and purple hair, died in the recent fire in her community. Despite evacuation orders, Rossilli stayed in her home to be with her pets, including a dog, canary, parrots, and a turtle. Her neighbors, church friends, and caregivers attempted to persuade her to leave, but she insisted on staying to care for her animals. A longtime resident, Rossilli ran a plumbing business with her late husband and continued to live in the same house after his passing. She was an active member of the Community United Methodist Church and volunteered with several organizations in the area. Despite efforts to help her evacuate, firefighters later found her body after the wildfire destroyed her home and the Luxe Homecare office where she received care. Remembered as a friendly and bubbly presence, Rossilli will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
