Harvard-Westlake boys basketball rallies to defeat resilient Crespi team – Daily News

The Harvard-Westlake boys basketball team faced a tough challenge against a determined Crespi team in a Mission League matchup, ultimately coming out with a 67-56 victory. Despite Crespi playing without star senior Peyton White, who was sidelined with an injury, they put up a strong fight in the first half. However, Harvard-Westlake regrouped in the second half, led by Nikolas Khamenia and Joe Sterling, who combined for a total of 39 points. Sterling, in particular, scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The Wolverines’ depth was evident as other starters and bench players also made key contributions. Crespi’s Isaiah Barnes led his team with 14 points. Despite the loss, Crespi showed resilience and determination in the absence of their star player. Harvard-Westlake remains undefeated in league play and will face Loyola next, while Crespi looks to bounce back against St. Francis. The matchup highlighted the competitiveness of the Mission League, where every game is a challenge.
