The Los Angeles Kings dominated the Vancouver Canucks with a 5-1 victory on Thursday night, thanks in large part to a standout performance by Alex Turcotte. Turcotte scored two goals and notched an assist within the first 10 minutes of the game, helping the Kings secure a much-needed win. Adrian Kempe and Kevin Fiala also contributed with a goal and an assist each, while Warren Foegele added another goal to the scoreboard. Goaltender Darcy Kuemper made 20 saves to solidify the Kings’ defense. The Canucks struggled to keep up, only managing to score one goal by Quinn Hughes during the game. Vancouver’s recent poor performances have led to a drop in the Western Conference standings, with the team now out of a wild-card spot. The Canucks have allowed five or more goals in 12 of their 44 games this season. The Kings will look to build on this victory when they face the Seattle Kraken on Saturday at 7 p.m.
