Anduril to Open 4,000-Worker Manufacturing Facility in Ohio from Costa Mesa – Daily News

Anduril Industries, a Costa Mesa-based defense contractor, is set to build a massive advanced manufacturing facility in central Ohio, bringing 4,000 new jobs to the area. The facility, named “Arsenal 1,” will be located near Rickenbacker International Airport in Pickaway County and will produce military drones and autonomous air vehicles starting in July 2026. This project marks the largest job creation initiative in Ohio and is part of the state’s efforts to bolster its aerospace industry.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine emphasized the state’s history of aviation innovation, such as the Wright brothers, and its strong aerospace workforce as key factors in winning this project. The facility will contribute to Anduril’s goal of enhancing US military weapons manufacturing.

The Anduril project is part of a growing “silicon corridor” in Ohio that includes other major tech and manufacturing investments. The state is providing financial incentives to support the project, including tax credits and funding from the All Ohio Future Fund. Overall, this development highlights Ohio’s commitment to fostering high-tech industries and creating job opportunities.
