Heritage Christian boys basketball team defeats Village Christian with impressive all-around performance

Heritage Christian’s senior basketball duo, Dillan Shaw and Tae Simmons, have been a force to be reckoned with this season, leading the team to an impressive 18-2 record. However, it’s not just Shaw and Simmons shining on the court. The supporting cast of seniors Freddie Crawford and Jesse Tweneboah, along with sophomores Dominic Loehle and Max Hackney, have stepped up to provide energy and leadership. Freshman Eli Simmons has also proven to be a valuable asset off the bench.

In a recent game against Village Christian, the supporting cast took center stage, helping Heritage Christian secure a 72-41 victory. Crawford and Tweneboah’s contributions were essential, with Crawford scoring 19 points and Tweneboah making crucial plays throughout the game. Shaw and Simmons continued to dominate, with Shaw finishing with 23 points and Simmons with 22 points.

With a solid defensive performance, Heritage Christian was able to limit Village Christian to a season-low in points. The team’s success can be attributed to the strong play of both the star players and the supporting cast. Heritage Christian will face Maranatha next, while Village Christian will play Whittier Christian.
