Bills offense led by Josh Allen dominates Broncos

The Buffalo Bills dominated the Denver Broncos in a 31-7 win in the wild-card playoff game. Josh Allen threw two touchdowns, James Cook rushed for 120 yards, and the Bills had a balanced offensive attack. Buffalo scored on six of their first seven drives and had a 23-minute edge in time of possession. After falling behind early, Allen connected with Ty Johnson for a 24-yard touchdown pass on fourth down and then hit Curtis Samuel for a 55-yard pass. The Bills will face the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round, a team that beat them earlier in the season. Cook became the first Bills player to rush for over 100 yards in a playoff game since Thurman Thomas in 1995. Allen finished with 272 passing yards and set a franchise record for playoff touchdowns. The Broncos, making their first playoff appearance since 2015, struggled on offense and could not contain Buffalo’s attack. They punted four times and failed to convert on two fourth-down attempts. Despite facing the Broncos’ aggressive defense, Allen was only sacked twice. He also briefly dealt with a thumb injury but remained in the game. The Bills now advance to the divisional round for the fifth consecutive year, looking to secure a spot in the AFC Championship game.
