MD Anderson partnership improves quality of life for cancer patients

Vibrance Health in Wharton County has partnered with MD Anderson Cancer Center for a unique blood drive that allows donors to designate their donation to a specific patient. This collaboration gives donors the chance to directly support cancer patients receiving treatment at MD Anderson, regardless of their location. Donors can contribute to a $25 credit on a patient’s bill, offering a tangible impact on their care. The initiative has been motivated by Vibrance Health’s connection to MD Anderson through patient referrals from their Gastroenterology Department. While encouraging blood and platelet donations in general, Vibrance Health is emphasizing the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients through this event. The blood drive is set for January 24th at Vibrance Health, where donors can schedule appointments online and receive appreciation t-shirts and refreshments.
