Firefighters successfully put out a fire called Sunswept in Studio City – Daily News


A fire in Studio City near Sunswept Drive and Vanetta Place burned and damaged multiple homes on Wednesday night. Over 50 firefighters quickly extinguished the flames by 10 p.m. with the help of multiple helicopters. One home reportedly collapsed from the fire. Firefighters were also able to stop the forward progress of a spot fire in nearby brush. The fire, named the Sunswept fire, occurred in windy and dry conditions in a residential area above Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles. The incident is separate from the larger Sunset fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries have been reported. The Los Angeles Fire Department and other local agencies were on the scene to control the flames and protect the surrounding homes and residents. The community is thankful for the swift response and efforts of the firefighters to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
