The Encinitas Guitar Orchestra, under the direction of Peter Pupping, will be performing an encore presentation of music from the soundtracks of iconic spaghetti western movies on Jan. 24. The concert, inspired by films such as “Once Upon a Time in the West” and the Dollar Trilogy, will feature music composed by Ennio Morricone. The unique blend of instruments and sound effects in Morricone’s music creates an unforgettable experience for attendees. The event will take place at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Encinitas with a suggested donation of $20 for general seating.

Meanwhile, the Hutchins Consort will be presenting “Bach and Rock”, a performance combining Bach’s music with Rock n’ Roll favorites on the same night at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Encinitas. Tickets are available online or at the door for this exciting musical event.

The Encinitas Chamber of Commerce is seeking exhibitors and sponsors for its upcoming Community Resource Expo on Feb. 8 at the Encinitas Community Center. This free event will feature over 40 local businesses providing information on their services, goods, and attractions. Additionally, the Batiquitos Lagoon will be hosting a nature walk on Jan. 18 to highlight the winter migration of birds in the area. This family-friendly event is free and open to adults and children over 12, with binoculars available for borrowing at the Nature Center.
