Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers set to return for season debut after absence of 34 games.

LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard will make his season debut against the Atlanta Hawks after missing the first 34 games to strengthen his right knee. The two-time NBA Finals MVP will be on a minutes restriction. Leonard last played in March 2024 and missed the entire offseason due to knee surgery. Despite his absence, the Clippers believe his return will bolster the team’s offense and defense. Leonard’s return also marks his first game at the Clippers’ new home, Intuit Dome.

Leonard has a history of injury absences, including knee issues, a broken hand, and a torn ligament in his hand. He underwent knee surgery in May and was sidelined for months, missing training camp and the start of the season. However, he returned to practice in December and has been gradually ramping up his activity. Leonard acknowledges the challenges of returning from injury but remains determined to come back strong.

In addition to Leonard, forward Terance Mann will return from a finger injury, and point guard James Harden will be back from groin soreness. With Leonard back in the lineup, the Clippers look to improve their standing in the Western Conference. Fans are eager to see Leonard back on the court and hope he can stay healthy for the remainder of the season.
