Clippers led by Powell and Harden come back to defeat struggling Pelicans – Daily News

On Monday night, the Los Angeles Clippers faced the New Orleans Pelicans in a close NBA game that ended with a score of 116-113 in favor of the Clippers. Norman Powell led the Clippers with 35 points, while James Harden scored 27, including crucial free throws in the final seconds of the game to secure the win. The Pelicans, who have been struggling with a 10-game losing streak, put up a fight with CJ McCollum scoring 33 points and Trey Murphy III and Herbert Jones adding 18 points each.

Despite trailing for most of the game, the Clippers managed to stay close and eventually overtake the Pelicans in the final minute. The Pelicans had a chance to tie the game, but rookie Yves Missi missed a crucial free throw that could have evened the score. The Clippers capitalized on the opportunity and held on for the win.

This victory marked the Clippers’ third straight win and their fifth win in the last six games. The team will now travel to San Antonio to face the Spurs in their next game.
