LAS VEGAS — Four months after a triumphant victory in Las Vegas, the USC Trojans returned to the city for the Las Vegas Bowl, facing numerous challenges. Throughout the season, they had lost key players, including three star receivers, to the transfer portal and struggled to maintain leads in games. Despite facing adversity, they managed to stage a thrilling comeback against Texas A&M.
Sophomore receivers Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane emerged as heroes, making crucial plays in the final moments of the game. Lane, in particular, had a standout performance with three touchdowns. Quarterback Jayden Maiava, who had a rocky start, redeemed himself with a game-winning touchdown pass to Kyle Ford in the closing seconds.
