Christians in Los Angeles County celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with Masses, services, and giving back to the community. The San Gabriel Mission Church also hosted Mass under the direction of Rev. Darren Merlino. Despite facing challenges like earthquakes and fires, the church remains a symbol of hope and renewal in the region. English-language Christmas Masses were held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, with Archbishop José Gomez emphasizing the importance of spreading joy and love. St. Francis Episcopal Church in Palos Verdes Estates hosted several Christmas Eve services. In La Verne, Santa Claus rode through the city with the fire department in a Christmas morning parade. Additionally, organizations like Hollywood United Methodist Church and Laugh Factory provided free meals to those in need during the holiday season. The community came together to celebrate Christmas with music, worship, and acts of kindness.
