Los Angeles County’s Fire Department is currently leading a search for two missing adult men who failed to show up to a scheduled boat ramp meeting in Palos Verdes. An overturned vessel was discovered near the designated meeting area, sparking concerns for the safety of the individuals.
According to reports, lifeguards were called to the scene in the early hours of the morning after the men’s friend raised the alarm when they didn’t arrive at the meeting spot near Cabrillo Marina. Despite an extensive search effort involving multiple public safety agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, no sign of the missing men has been found.
Difficult weather conditions, including large surf, fog, and clouds, have complicated the search and rescue mission. However, the use of drones has been instrumental in aiding the search efforts once the fog lifted. The search for the two missing men is ongoing, with authorities continuing to scour the coastline for any trace of them.
