The Vegas Golden Knights completed a four-game regular-season sweep of the Anaheim Ducks with a 3-1 victory on Monday night. Tomas Hertl scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, while goaltender Adin Hill made 31 saves for the win. Tanner Pearson and Keegan Kolesar also scored for Vegas, which won its fourth straight game and improved to 14-3-0 at home this season. The Ducks tied the score briefly in the second period, but Hertl’s goal put Vegas back in front for good.
The Ducks, playing their second game of a back-to-back, faced challenges with injuries and fatigue throughout the game. Despite a strong defensive effort, Anaheim was unable to overcome Vegas’s offensive pressure. The victory was a milestone for Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy, who now holds the record for most wins in franchise history with 119.
After a brief holiday break, the Ducks will host the Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers in weekend matchups. Vegas will look to continue their winning streak in upcoming games.
