LAUSD marching band demonstrates their talent as they prepare for the Rose Parade – Daily News


The Los Angeles All-City Marching Band kicked off the Rose Parade fanfare by performing for LAUSD board members and parade officials at Dodger Stadium. The 350 student-strong band, a staple of the Rose Parade for 52 years, showcased their talent, moves, and sound. Mark Leavens, the president of the 2025 Tournament of Roses, presented the band with a ceremonial flag, wishing them the Best Day Ever at the parade in Pasadena. Band members were enthusiastic, with drummer Rose Venabides expressing excitement about joining the band. LAUSD school board members praised the students’ dedication to music education, emphasizing its importance in the curriculum. Band director Tony White highlighted the songs that will be featured in the parade and commended the students for their hard work during rehearsals. The event brought together students from 53 high schools, showcasing their musical skills and passion for performing in the world-famous Rose Parade.
