The Atlantic Rotary Club recently donated $3,000 to Atlantic Rising for their annual Christmas Food Box Drive. The funds helped provide food boxes to over 130 individuals and families in need. The Washington G.E.M. 4-H group assisted with the assembly, packing, and delivery of the boxes. The donation was presented by Dave Schwab, President of the Atlantic Rotary Club. Members of Atlantic Rising, including Bailey Smith, Tori Gibson, Kelsey Beschorner, and Jennifer McEntaffer, were on hand to receive the check. The boxes were delivered on Dec. 12, just in time for the holiday season.
The generous donation from the Atlantic Rotary Club helped ensure that families in the community had food on their tables during the festive season. The collaboration between the Rotary Club and Atlantic Rising, along with the support from the Washington G.E.M. 4-H group, highlights the importance of community partnerships in serving those in need. Dave Schwab expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to support such a worthy cause and praised the dedication of all those involved in making the Christmas Food Box Drive a success.
The Christmas Food Box Drive is just one of the many initiatives that Atlantic Rising undertakes to support the local community.
