Olympic medallist PV Sindhu is set to tie the knot with Venkata Datta Sai on December 22 in Udaipur in a grand wedding ceremony. The announcement of Sindhu’s wedding came after she won the women’s singles title at the Syed Modi International. The festivities will start on December 20 with a reception in Hyderabad on December 24.
Sindhu has been a trailblazer in Indian badminton, winning medals at the Olympic Games, World Championships, and Commonwealth Games. The wedding is expected to be a grand affair with top celebrities in attendance, including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar was the first to receive a personal invitation from Sindhu and Datta Sai.
The guest list is yet to be announced but it is expected that the Indian badminton fraternity and other sporting stars like Neeraj Chopra and Sharath Kamal will be present. There is also a possibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the wedding, given Sindhu’s cordial relationship with him.
Datta Sai, an IT professional and Executive Director at Posidex Technologies, has a background in Accounting and Finance, Data Science, and Machine Learning. He also had a brief stint with an Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise as a summer intern.
Overall, Sindhu’s wedding is sure to be a star-studded event, celebrating the union of two accomplished individuals in their respective fields.
