Taylor Swift fans who attended her Eras Tour may have missed out on a variety of Easter eggs that the singer had hidden in plain sight throughout her performances. The release of her “Eras Tour Book” on Black Friday uncovered new details about the record-breaking tour that has taken place over the span of 21 months, covering five continents.
The 256-page hardcover book, priced at $39.99 and available exclusively at Target stores, revealed behind-the-scenes tidbits about the tour. The book has a two million copy initial print run and is an effort by Swift to further monetize her music beyond concerts and recordings. Additionally, she is exclusively selling “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” album on vinyl and CD through Target.
The book also provides insight into the precision and planning behind Swift’s theatrical performances, including the use of a crew member to operate a platform during certain songs. Swift’s tour consistently includes almost four dozen songs in an average set time of three hours and 15 minutes, drawing from a wide range of albums.
Swift’s Eras Tour is set to conclude in Vancouver with three final shows at BC Place. Fans who have experienced her tour have had to strategize and plan for merchandise lines, and the release of the tour book allows them to gain a deeper understanding of the thought and detail put into the performances. Swift signed off the book teasing more to come in the future: “See you next era.”
