Los Angeles Rams starting receiver Demarcus Robinson will not be suspended for Sunday’s game in New Orleans despite his recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Head coach Sean McVay stated that Robinson understands the severity of the situation and is remorseful. The legal process and potential NFL action will continue. Robinson was arrested after being observed driving over 100 miles per hour and showing signs of alcohol impairment. He has apologized to the team and organization for his actions.
McVay also mentioned that right tackle Rob Havenstein is trending towards a return after missing three games, and tight end Tyler Higbee, who suffered a serious injury last year, had his practice window opened but is not expected to play Sunday. The Rams are also dealing with kicking concerns, as rookie kicker Josh Karty has struggled lately, missing five field goals this season.
Despite the challenges, McVay remains confident in the team’s ability to learn and grow from these experiences. He stressed the importance of utilizing team resources to prevent impaired driving and expressed support for Robinson’s willingness to take responsibility for his actions. The Rams are focused on moving forward and improving as they prepare for their upcoming games.
