REACH Pathways, a tech platform founded by Brooke McKean and Jeffery Beckham Jr., aims to provide college and career resources to under-resourced students. The app, launched in 2021, offers step-by-step pathways tailored to students’ goals through AI, Tik Tok-inspired videos, and gamification. Users complete quests to access resources and earn gems, with a focus on soft skills and practical guidance.
In addition to a resume builder and job applications, the app also allows companies to post jobs and colleges to subscribe for student access. McKean and Beckham plan to expand the platform’s features to include mentor interactions and customized industry pathways.
As a for-profit L3C entity, REACH Pathways has already gained 1,000 users and is looking to further grow its reach. With their connection to Chicago Scholars, the founders are confident in their ability to scale the platform nationally and continue to make a positive impact on under-resourced students’ education and career success.
