USC Basketball Dominates San Jose State in 82-68 Victory

LOS ANGELES — The USC Trojans bounced back in style on Wednesday night, defeating the San Jose State Spartans 82-68 at the Galen Center. Led by Terrence Williams II and Chibuzo Agbo, who each scored 20 points, USC showcased their offensive prowess, shooting an impressive 57% from the field.

In addition to Williams and Agbo’s standout performances, Wesley Yates III contributed 14 points, while Matt Knowling added 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, helping USC improve its record to 4-1 after suffering its first loss of the season against Cal.

The game featured an explosive start, with Williams paving the way for a decisive 13-2 run, allowing the Trojans to take a commanding lead at 23-18 with just over seven minutes remaining in the first half. Although San Jose State’s Josh Uduje lit up the court with 23 points, including five from beyond the arc, the Trojans effectively managed the game, entering halftime with a 42-35 advantage.

USC extended its lead early in the second half with a swift 10-0 run, highlighted by Knowling’s jumper that pushed the score to 52-37. The Trojans maintained control for the remainder of the game, preserving a double-digit lead and finishing the second half shooting an outstanding 62%, including 10-for-22 from three-point territory.

Next up, the Trojans will host Grambling State on Sunday at 4 p.m., aiming to continue their winning momentum.
