Southern California Couple’s Determined Search for Lost French Bulldog Continues Despite Challenges
A couple in Southern California, Gabriella Sidhu and Chris Casey, is enduring a heart-wrenching two-month search for their beloved French bulldog, Mushie. The couple has employed an array of methods—bloodhounds, animal psychics, cash rewards, and extensive door-to-door canvassing—yet Mushie remains missing.
The ordeal began on September 17 when Sidhu dropped off Mushie with a dogsitter in North Hollywood prior to a movie night. Just 14 minutes later, the sitter called, reporting that Mushie had escaped her harness and run out. After searching for hours, Sidhu and Casey decided to stay in the area, sleeping in their car for weeks while they devoted time to the search instead of returning home.
Mushie, six years old and requiring daily medication, was adopted by the couple from a breeder. They have become increasingly anxious about her health. In their quest, they have spent thousands of dollars, offering a $5,000 reward and hiring a bloodhound handler who tracked Mushie’s scent only to lose the trail nearby.
Despite initial assistance from the pet service company Rover, the couple feels the company has not done enough. Rover later issued a statement detailing its ongoing efforts to locate Mushie, including offering a significant reward and contacting local shelters.
Unfortunately, Sidhu and Casey have also faced the distress of prank calls and scams throughout their search. Yet they remain unwavering. Sidhu poignantly expressed, “It’s not just a dog… She’s the closest thing we have to a baby.” They plan to continue their search relentlessly, reaching out to the community for help in finding Mushie. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Sidhu at (760) 960-9272.
