Two individuals fatally stabbed in a spree across three Manhattan locations in New York City.

A lone assailant went on an hourslong stabbing spree in New York City, killing two men and critically wounding a woman. The two men were attacked at different locations before being pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital. The woman was stabbed near the United Nations and is in critical condition. Police captured a “person of interest” shortly after the attacks, a 51-year-old homeless man with a long arrest record. The attacks appear to be unprovoked, as the suspect allegedly walked up to the victims and began attacking them with knives. A taxi driver who witnessed the woman being attacked called the police, leading to the suspect’s capture. The victims have not been identified yet. One was a 36-year-old construction worker and the other was a 68-year-old man fishing. The investigation is ongoing and more updates are expected.
