Burglars broke into the grounds of Windsor Castle, the primary residence of Prince William, Princess Kate, and their family, and stole two vehicles in October. The offenders entered a farm building on the property and fled with a black Izuzu pickup and a red quad bike. No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing. This is not the first security breach at Windsor Castle, as a man armed with a crossbow climbed a fence on Christmas Day in 2021, claiming he wanted to kill Queen Elizabeth II. The man was sentenced to nine years in prison for various offenses. Windsor Castle is also home to King Charles III and Queen Camilla, while Queen Elizabeth II stays at Buckingham Palace. Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the recent burglary. This incident highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by the royal family and their residences.
