Headlining the 2025 Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame class are Sue Bird and Sylvia Fowles.


The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame announced the 2025 class that will be inducted on June 14, 2025, at the Tennessee Theater. The seven-member class includes Sue Bird, Sylvia Fowles, Alana Beard, Cappie Pondexter, Mark Campbell, Lucille Kyvallos, and Danielle Donehew. Bird, a former UConn and WNBA star, retired in 2022 with numerous accolades, including being the WNBA’s all-time leader in games played and assists, and winning five Olympic gold medals. Fowles, a former LSU player, won two WNBA titles and was a four-time Olympic gold medalist. Beard, a Duke alum, and Pondexter, a Rutgers alum, both won multiple WNBA titles and have impressive playing careers.

Campbell, the coach of Division II Union University, has an impressive coaching record with over 85 percent wins and was the fastest coach to achieve 600 and 700 wins. Kyvallos, a former college coach, had an 81 percent win record during her coaching career. Donehew, the WBCA executive director, leads membership for women’s basketball coaches nationwide. WBHOF President Dana Hart praised the inductees for their contributions to the sport and their impact on women’s basketball history. The class showcases the highest standards in women’s basketball and honors the achievements of these legendary players and coaches. The induction ceremony promises to be a memorable event celebrating these distinguished figures in the world of women’s basketball.
