Karol G, Edgar Barrera, and Carlos Vives are among the winners

The 2024 Latin Grammy Awards celebrated their 25th anniversary in Miami with a star-studded ceremony honoring the best in Latin music in Spanish and Portuguese. More than 700 artists were nominated across 58 categories, with Juan Luis Guerra winning the top award for album of the year with “Radio Güira.” Jorge Drexler won song of the year with “Derrumbe,” dedicating his award to his late father. Carlos Vives received a special award for his 30-year career, and Bon Jovi performed a remixed version of his hit “Now Or Never” with Pitbull. The show paid homage to late Latin music icons and featured performances by younger artists like Joe Jonas, Anitta, and Elena Rose. Producer Edgar Barrera led in nominations with nine, while winners included Draco Rosa and Kany García. Nathy Peluso won three awards for best alternative song, best rap/hip hop song, and best long-form music video. Overall, the show celebrated the rich diversity and growth of Latin music over the past 25 years, with a range of performances highlighting both veteran artists and emerging talents in the industry.
