Wicked Hits the Big Screen: Exciting Promotions Ahead of Film Premiere

Broadway’s beloved musical "Wicked" is set to make its highly anticipated transition to the big screen, 20 years after its California debut. Part one of the film is scheduled to premiere on November 22, 2024, with part two following on November 21, 2025. Fans eagerly awaiting the film can indulge in various promotional activities, particularly in Southern California.

Universal Studios Hollywood has transformed its Hollywood and Dine restaurant with a "Wicked" themed menu featuring nine new food and drink items, such as the Apple Pie Funnelest Cake and the Ozmopolitan cocktail. The park also offers exclusive photo ops and two merchandise stores stocked with themed gear, including items inspired by lead characters Elphaba and Glinda.

In addition to culinary delights, Southern California music stores will participate in "Wicked" Weekend in-store listening parties from November 22-24, encouraging fans to wear pink and green for giveaways. Build-A-Bear Workshop has introduced plush toys dressed in "Wicked" costumes, featuring sound options that include performances from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

Furthermore, beloved eateries like Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Bonefish Grill are joining the excitement with themed drinks and snacks, while Starbucks introduces limited-edition beverages inspired by the iconic characters. Movie theaters across the nation are also getting in on the action, unveiling exclusive merchandise, themed snacks, and special movie parties.

Fans eager to experience "Wicked" live can look forward to the touring production returning to the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood from December 4 through February 2. As anticipation builds for the film, attendees can revel in a magical atmosphere and celebrate one of Broadway’s most cherished musicals.
