Sierra Canyon’s volleyball team is making waves in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs with a strong collective performance that has impressed head coach Stefanie Wigfall. The team executed their game plan to sweep Marymount, showcasing maturity beyond their years. The Trailblazers, led by Eva Jeffries’ impressive offensive display, are currently 2-0 in Pool A after defeating Marymount and are set to face Mira Costa in their final pool play game.
Jeffries’ 12 kills, along with Lucky Fasavalu’s 22 assists and solid performances from other players like Lauren Lynch and Hanna McGinest, have contributed to the team’s success. Fasavalu and Olive Shum, both sophomores rotating at setter, support each other well and maintain a high standard of play through communication and teamwork.
Sierra Canyon’s balanced contributions from multiple players have built team confidence and depth, positioning them as strong contenders for the Division 1 championship game on November 9. The team’s synchronized play and strong connection have been key in their victories.
