The Ducks secured a much-needed 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night at Honda Center. After back-to-back losses, Anaheim came out strong and played with more speed and effectiveness. Troy Terry continued his hot streak with a goal, while Leo Carlsson and Alex Killorn also found the back of the net. Lukáš Dostál had another impressive showing in goal, making 27 saves.
The Ducks dominated most of the game, holding onto a one-goal lead for over 12 minutes in the third period before securing the win with an empty-net goal by Killorn. San Jose’s Mikael Granlund scored the lone goal for the Sharks, with Mackenzie Blackwood making 38 saves in the losing effort.
Despite struggling on their power plays in previous games, the Ducks finally found success with Terry scoring on a breakaway in the second period. Mason McTavish and Cutter Gauthier also contributed with assists on Carlsson’s power-play goal.
Overall, it was a solid performance by the Ducks, who outshot the Sharks and capitalized on their opportunities. With the win, Anaheim snapped their losing streak and will look to build on this momentum in their next game.
