Miami Mayhem emerged victorious in an intense matchup against the Brooklyn Blaze at Frontwave Arena in Oceanside during the AVP League play. Gold medalists April Ross and Alix Klineman secured a spot in the AVP League championships by rallying for a 11-15, 16-14, 15-11 win. Their teammates Theo Brunner and Trevor Crabb also clinched a berth for Miami by defeating Brooklyn’s Cody Caldwell and Seain Cook in a dominant 15-12, 15-6 victory.
Meanwhile, Dallas Dream, in second place, had a successful day with both their teams winning matches. Kylie Deberg and Hailey Harward defeated L.A. Launch tandem Betsi Flint and Julia Scoles in a close match, while Andy Benesh and Miles Partain continued their unbeaten streak by beating L.A.’s Tim Bomgren and Troy Field.
The AVP League action will continue next weekend at the Honda Center in Anaheim, leading up to the inaugural AVP League Championship on November 9-10 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson. Fans can expect more thrilling matches and fierce competition as the teams battle it out for the ultimate title.
