Will Rams’ Cooper Kupp be able to play after practicing in injury return?

Los Angeles Rams star receiver Cooper Kupp has been limited in practice this week as he continues to recover from a left ankle injury. The team is hopeful that he will be able to play in Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium. Coach Sean McVay is expected to provide an update on Kupp’s status on Friday.

Kupp, the 2021 NFL offensive player of the year, had a strong start to the season with 14 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown in the opener against the Detroit Lions before being injured in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. He has missed the last three games, including losses to the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers, as the Rams have struggled with a 1-4 record.

Offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur expressed the team’s excitement to have Kupp back at practice, noting the positive impact his presence has on the team. Kupp’s return could provide a much-needed boost to the Rams as they look to stay in playoff contention despite their early-season struggles.

LaFleur emphasized Kupp’s experience and leadership on the field, highlighting the calming effect he has on the offense. Kupp’s potential return on Sunday could help the Rams improve on both sides of the ball and increase their chances of turning their season around.
