The Daily News: Unveiling the Identity of Vem Miller, the Man Apprehended with Weapons Outside California Trump Rally

Vegas Man Arrested with Guns and Fake IDs near Trump Rally

A Las Vegas man, Vem Miller, was arrested with guns and fake IDs about a quarter mile from former President Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Coachella Valley, according to Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco. While the sheriff called it a thwarted assassination attempt, Miller, a Trump supporter, claimed he bought the guns for his own safety and notified police at a checkpoint.

Miller, a registered Republican with a master’s degree, runs The America Happens Network and recently ran for state assembly in Nevada. He attended the Trump rally with an invitation from the Clark County Republican Party.

Sheriff’s deputies found Miller in possession of a shotgun, loaded handgun, high-capacity magazine, fake license plate, and unregistered car. Miller said he lawfully carried the guns for protection and was unfamiliar with California’s gun laws.

Sheriff Bianco suggested Miller may have affiliations with sovereign citizens, but Miller denied this claim. The Sheriff considered the arrest as thwarting another assassination attempt on Trump.

Miller was released on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court in January 2025. The Secret Service, FBI, and Sheriff’s Department are investigating the incident further. Miller’s partner, Mindy Robinson, defended him on social media, denying any intention of harm towards Trump.
