The Los Angeles County registrar’s office has started sending out vote-by-mail ballots for the Nov. 5 general election, allowing voters to conveniently cast their ballots from home. Voters can drop off their completed ballots in a mailbox postage-free or at over 400 ballot drop box locations across the county. Starting Oct. 26, ballots can also be dropped off at a vote center.
Eligible individuals who have not yet registered to vote have until Oct. 21 to do so in order to participate in the upcoming election. Voters who want to track the status of their ballots can register online at california.ballottrax.net/voter/.
Voters may receive their vote-by-mail ballots before their sample ballots, but election materials will be available online at LAVOTE.GOV/ISB starting Sunday. Materials are available in 18 languages, and voters can request to receive them in their preferred language by returning a “language request form” or by calling 800-815-2666 and selecting option 3.
With the election quickly approaching, it’s important for all eligible voters in Los Angeles County to be prepared and informed about the voting process. The registrar’s office is providing various options for voters to cast their ballots and access important election materials to ensure a successful and inclusive election on Nov. 5.
