Los Angeles Clippers swingman Terance Mann has signed a three-year, $47 million contract extension, his agents confirmed to The Athletic. The deal, which is fully guaranteed, will keep Mann with the team through the 2027-2028 season. The extension, reported by Shams Charania, will come into effect before the 2025-26 season.
The agreement comes at a crucial time for the Clippers as they face the absence of star players Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. With George departing for Philadelphia and Leonard dealing with knee issues, Mann’s role in the team has become even more significant. The 27-year-old, who was a second-round pick in the 2019 draft, has established himself as a valuable and versatile player in the team’s wing rotation.
Mann, who started a career-high 71 games last season, averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 51.5% from the field and 34.8% from 3-point range. His consistency and contributions on both ends of the court make him a key piece for the Clippers going forward.
The team’s preseason training camp, set to begin in Hawaii on Tuesday, will be without Leonard participating in drills due to his ongoing knee concerns. As the Clippers navigate through these challenges, securing Mann’s future with the team is a significant step in maintaining their competitiveness in the upcoming seasons.
