Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has given Shohei Ohtani the green light to continue his prolific season as the superstar aims to break even more records. Ohtani recently surpassed Ichiro Suzuki’s single-season stolen base record for a Japanese-born player with his 57th steal. Despite Roberts planning to give regular starters a day off in their final regular-season series, Ohtani is likely to remain in the lineup to try and secure a potential Triple Crown and continue his historic season. Ohtani’s accomplishments include the fastest 40-40 season ever and the first 50-50 season ever. Roberts commended Ohtani for his impressive season and expressed his support for Ohtani’s desire to reach new milestones. With the division and a first-round bye secured, Ohtani has the opportunity to solidify his place in baseball history with a phenomenal season with the Dodgers.
