Vice President Kamala Harris is making her way to Los Angeles for a fundraising event in support of her presidential campaign. This will be her first fundraiser in the city since becoming the Democratic nominee. Prior to the event, Harris will make a stop in San Francisco for another campaign event. The fundraiser, which will take place on Sunday, will benefit the Harris Victory Fund, a joint committee involving Harris’ campaign, the Democratic National Committee, and state Democratic parties.
Tickets for the event start at $500 per person and go up to $1 million, which includes various perks such as a reception with Harris and a photo opportunity. After the Los Angeles event, Harris will head to Nevada for another fundraiser.
Harris has recently visited the U.S.-Mexico border and shared her commitment to creating a system of immigration that is safe, orderly, and humane. Meanwhile, her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, has also been in Southern California for fundraising events. The California Republican Party Chairwoman, Jessica Millan Patterson, criticized Harris’s visit, stating that the state is less safe, less affordable, and less energy independent due to her previous policies.
Harris remains focused on her campaign and fundraising efforts as she continues to travel across the country to rally support for her bid for the presidency.
